At this level, we continue to work on your technical skills and apply them in match play situations. Improve your accuracy, ball control and decision-making skills - our sessions will enable you to excel in the game! So what is your standard?

Beginner…This means you’ve never played, just started playing, haven’t picked up a racket for years or are still working on the basics of your game.

Improver…You know the basic techniques and are able to keep a rally going, however you still make quite a few mistakes and you may find serving difficult.

Intermediate…You play fairly regularly and your technique is solid. You use some tactical play when competing but struggle a little when putting together points against advanced players.

Competitive…You have played a lot of tennis over many years. Serving with spin, placement and power are part of your game. You can rally consistently and create opportunities to win points off both your forehand and backhand. You compete regularly or have the desire to do so.

It’s difficult to make an objective self-rating; we recommend you ask a coach to decide for you.

Hotshots is a perfect way for younger children to develop gross motor skills and athleticism through the sport of tennis in a fun, yet structured environment. Your child will learn teamwork and how to cooperate and succeed in a small group dynamic. All Red classes run with a coach/player ratio of 1-4 and Orange and Green classes a ratio of 1:5

Our COMPETITIVE classes are for those children who have had previous experience of match play. If you are unsure which class would be suitable for your child, please call and we will be more than happy to chat to you regarding your child’s placement.

At the end of each term, we offer a JUNIOR CHALLENGE competition which is for players just starting out with competitive play and are a great opportunity to put into practice all your player is learning in their regular squad sessions in a fun and relaxed match play environment. All are welcome to enter.
